What We Believe
.As a non-denominational Christian Church, it is our desire to encourage individuals, marriages and families in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and obedience to God’s Word, the Bible. Creeds and doctrinal statements can be helpful but have also become divisive and incomplete. “No creeds but Christ” and “Where the Bible speaks we speak, where the Bible is silent we are silent”, indicates our desire to look to Jesus and His Word as our ultimate guide. Obviously, there are differences in views and beliefs among well meaning Christians (as illustrated in the number of different denominations). Recognizing this, our goal is “In essentials unity, in matters of opinion, liberty, and in all things love.” If you have specific questions about what we believe and why we believe it, our staff would be more than happy to spend time-sharing our views.
Jesus:
The eternal, sinless, Son of God, who came to earth as a sacrifice for our sins through His death, burial and resurrection (John 1:1-5; I Peter 2:22; John 3:16; I Corinthians 15:3-4).
Bible:
The infallible Word of God and final authority for all matters of faith and practice (II Timothy 3:16-17).
Salvation:
We are saved by Grace (Ephesians 2:8) and this is received through Faith (John 3:16-17), Repentance of sins (II Corinthians 7:10), Confession(Romans 10:9) and Baptism into Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38ff, I Peter 3:18ff).
